PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The case we present here arose from our client’s need to replace and modernise an electrical control and automation panel for a finished product palletising system.

As can be seen in the photos, the existing panel was significantly deteriorated, posing a potential risk of production downtime and a possible safety hazard for the operator.

Given that the new electrical panel needed to have dimensions as close as possible to the existing one for installation in the same location, the solution was to align the consumers’ needs with the characteristics of the new range of equipment.

The solution involved an automation platform with Ethernet communication with the variable speed drives and a 10” colour console, allowing real-time monitoring of the finished product status up to the palletising location, as well as the possibility to create different palletising configurations.

The electrical panel was tailored to the client’s requirements, and the downtime for its replacement was reduced to a weekend.
